One of the most common questions we get asked is: “Are Nairn’s biscuits gluten-free?”
The answer is yes, but we offer much more than just oat biscuits. We believe that oats can be enjoyed by everyone. That is why we have a constantly expanding gluten-free range that does not skimp on deliciousness or safety. Cooking and food preparation should be fun and interesting. It should not be overshadowed by worrying about ingredients.
We Don’t Do Things by Halves
To eliminate any concerns, we ensure that the whole-grain oats used in our gluten-free products are grown, farmed, and milled to the highest standards before being baked to perfection in our purpose-built, “state-of-the-art” gluten-free bakery. We ensure that from the field to the plate, we carry out additional control measures and testing to avoid cross-contamination with other grains, such as wheat, barley, and rye. Every batch of oats is tested before leaving the mill and before products reach the shelves, so you can be sure that all our gluten-free products genuinely are. You only have to think about which one to try first!
All our testing is conducted by a UKAS-accredited laboratory using ELISA standards, and we are proud to hold Coeliac UK certification and display the Crossed Grain logo.
